Terms and Conditions

BOOKING CONDITIONS

All online bookings are quoted in Euros (EUR) per person and include taxes and VAT. Changes, alternations and cancellations must be made in writing to viadasales@viada.fi. The detailed list of all services included in the tour price will be specified for each tour on our website. Other expenses incurred by the client during the tour, e.g. use of telephone, hotel bars, etc., must be paid directly by the client to the hotel or other provider of such services.

MODIFICATIONS TO CONFIRMED RESERVATIONS

All changes made to tours offered through the Viada Ltd. online booking system will be charged EUR 50 per modification.

REFUNDS AND UNUSED SERVICES

Travel arrangements cancelled or modified within 48 hours of departure or once travel has commenced will not qualify for any refund, nor can services be substituted for alternative arrangements. Unused services are non-refundable.

CANCELLATION

All cancellations must be made in writing to viadasales@viada.fi.
The date of cancellation will be when Viada Ltd. receives it in writing.
Viada Ltd. office hours are Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00 hours, EEST.
Please note that cancellation terms are informed before you confirm your booking. As we offer tours organised by different providers, we recommend that you read the cancellation terms carefully.

PASSPORT, VISAS, CUSTOMS, CURRENCY AND HEALTH REGULATIONS

Each passenger is responsible for providing their own travel documents (passport, visa, etc.). We recommend examining the customs/tariff and currency regulations for our destination.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Viada Ltd. strongly recommends that all passengers obtain valid travel insurance to cover cancellations due to illness, death in the family, force majeure, etc.
Viada Ltd. is not liable for loss of luggage or other personal belongings, personal injury, accident or illness. In the event of personal injury, accident or illness, Viada Ltd. cannot be required to make refunds in the event that the tour is partially or totally cancelled.

CANCELLATION BY VIADA LTD.

Due to "force majeure" and reasons beyond our control (weather conditions, etc.), Viada Ltd. reserves the right to cancel the package tour or excursion. All customers will be refunded, but Viada Ltd. will not be liable for any further claims.

RESPONSIBILITY

We reserve the right to change prices in the event of devaluation of the Euro, increase in taxes or service charges, or other similar events beyond our control. We cannot assume responsibility for acts of omission by any person or firm other than Viada Ltd. The operator is not responsible for accidents, losses, detentions, inconvenience, delays and expenses arising therefrom, quarantine, strikes, force majeure, failure of boats or coaches to arrive and depart as scheduled, riots, government restrictions or regulations, weather conditions and other eventualities over which we have no control. Schedules are subject to change. Viada Ltd. may make reasonable changes to the itinerary when deemed advisable for the comfort and welfare of passengers.
Viada Ltd. carries General Liability Insurance for bodily injury and property damage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the insurance company.

CLIMATIC CONDITIONS

Due to the warm Gulf Stream, the climate in Finland is considerably milder than at the same latitudes in other parts of the world, and the climates in northern, eastern, southern and western Finland are slightly different from each other.
In the north and east, the winter is cold but dry, while the winter on the west and south coast is fairly mild.
Summer in the north is short and intensive. Summer in southern Finland starts in early June and ends in mid-September. It is warm, but not humid. However, you can experience "white nights" until mid-August, after which the days shorten rapidly.

SPECIAL ACTIVITIES

Some of our package tours include activities such as Husky dog sledding, snowmobiling, skiing and the like. In these cases, Viada Ltd. acts as an agent only for the activity providers, therefore, Viada Ltd. shall not be liable under any circumstances for injury, damage, loss or accident caused by participation in or in connection with such activities.

ACCEPTANCE

By paying the deposit/final amount, the customer has accepted the general terms and conditions listed in this document as part of the agreement between Viada Ltd. and the customer.

PRIVACY POLICY

We ask for personal information in the booking request section. This information is necessary to ensure that we can make and confirm your booking. This information will not be used for any other purpose and will not be shared with any other external parties, except for the necessary information provided to our suppliers involved in your booking (hotels, etc.).
Personal information will not be sold or shared, and your e-mail address will not be sent to third parties.
